A boutique M&A advisory firm is looking for a driven Analyst to join its deal team in London. The role offers broad, hands-on exposure to live transactions from day one, with less hierarchy and more direct deal involvement than a typical bulge bracket analyst programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution of M&A transactions across sell-side, buy-side, and advisory mandates
- Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction comparables
- Assist in preparing pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations
- Conduct sector, company, and market research to support origination and live deals
- Support due diligence processes and data room management
- Coordinate with clients, legal counsel, and other advisers under supervision of senior team members
- Take on increasing responsibility for workstreams as experience grows
Candidate Profile
- 0-2 years' relevant experience (graduate, or 1-2 years in banking, transaction services, or accountancy)
- Strong academic record; degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; financial modelling experience/coursework a plus
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude
- Ability to thrive in a lean team environment with significant early responsibility
