Newbury based technology company are looking for an internal support engineer with strong Linux skills who will be required in the office daily. In this broad role you will provide support to internal users ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure with a focus on security and customer service. The role involves supporting both Microsoft Windows and Linux Mint laptops and associated server estate and corporate network (including cloud services and SaaS subscriptions).

Key Responsibilities

  • Desktop Support – 1st and 2nd line Windows and Linux Desktop support.
  • User management – involved in account creation, permissions, provisioning, etc
  • Network Administration – monitor and maintain the corporate network.
  • Cloud and SaaS Support – support various cloud and SaaS subscriptions and related services. Focus on Google workspace and AWS
  • Troubleshooting – diagnose and resolve technical issues across a range of devices.
  • Documentation – keep documentation accurate and up-to-date.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of desktop support and IT systems.
  • Linux installation and management of devices.
  • Active Directory management
  • Windows 11 installation and support.
  • Office Support
  • Google workplace administration.
  • Atlassian administration
  • Good problem solving skills in an IT support environment

The following would be an advantage: AWS, Azure/ Office 365, Google Cloud, firewalls and switches, DHCP/DNS, virtualization technologies.
