The Performance & Learning Specialist is a full-time hybrid role that includes regular, scheduled visits to our UK/EU offices in Colchester, England, as well as other locations throughout the United Kingdom and the European Union, with occasional global travel. In this role, you will facilitate training, support the design and development of engaging learning materials, and build strong collaborative relationships with internal teams, partners, and distributors. These relationships are vital to understanding regional needs, aligning learning solutions with commercial goals, and enhancing the overall learning experience. Reporting to the Manager, Performance & Learning, the Specialist will play a key role in delivering impactful learning experiences across the organization.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a learning, performance, or instructional design role with a demonstrated record of supporting organizational learning needs.
- Proven facilitation skills with experience delivering effective and engaging training sessions.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Proficiency in one or more additional European languages is a strong asset.
- Background in project management and willingness to further develop project-based skills.
- Experience designing, delivering, and managing learning initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical aptitude, particularly within SaaS, IT, or related technology environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Facilitation (50%)
- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions for internal employees and distribution partners.
- Use the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) tool to identify learning requirements and inform training design.
- Tailor content and delivery methods to diverse audiences across the UK and Europe.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and refine materials to improve learning outcomes.
- Curriculum Development & Engagement (30%)
- Design and develop curricula and training programs for employees and partners.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
- Develop and implement strategies for delivering training in multiple European languages.
- Stay current with instructional design best practices, adult learning principles, and emerging technology trends.
- Learning Management & Insights (20%)
- Learn and master the Absorb Learning Management System (LMS) to create, analyze, and share learning performance and knowledge gap reports.
- Maintain proactive communication with internal stakeholders and partners to encourage engagement and drive continuous learning.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through effective administration, reporting, and data management.
Additional Responsibilities
- Partner with the Design team to create and tailor learning materials aligned with the needs of the UK/Europe market.
- Champion a blended learning approach that integrates eLearning, virtual instructor-led training, and face-to-face learning opportunities to ensure accessibility, consistency, and impact across diverse audiences.
- Contribute creative ideas and solutions that enhance learner engagement; experience or interest in sales training is considered a strong advantage.
