The Technical Operations Assistant will report to the Head of Technical Operations, as part of a Tech Ops team on a rotational shift pattern. Working closely with Production and Artists to ensure smooth working practices, the Technical Operations Assistant is responsible for quality checking and ensuring quality standards for all outgoing deliveries, including those for Broadcast and Social Media platforms. This is a fast-paced role, working alongside a talented team, and provides opportunities for future progression into related departments. The role would particularly suit those with a goal of progressing into our 2D or Colour departments. As a Technical Operations Assistant, you will regularly be required to troubleshoot and problem-solve day-to-day issues that may arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality control of TV/Social Media campaigns
- Playout deliveries to specification (TV/Social Media)
- Quick turnaround client approval file upload deliveries
- Audio QC
- Data management (Restores/Archives)
- Jobs path clean up
- File preparation for 2D artists
- Artwork preparation
- Logging digital master media content
ABOUT YOU
- A good understanding of UK broadcast specification deliveries
- A basic understanding of all Clearcast guidelines
- Strong working knowledge of VFX software
- A good understanding of file formats and codecs
- A good understanding of aspect ratios and pixel sizes
- Knowledge of transcoding software
- Adobe Suite - Photoshop for artwork preparation
