The 2D ARTIST ROLE at BLACK KITE
As a 2D Artist at Black Kite you are responsible for delivering creative excellence from pitch through to delivery, across a range of high profile creative VFX projects. You work closely with VFX Supervisors and Leads to seamlessly integrate all layers or elements of a shot, including live‑action and CG elements. You will establish looks for visual effects shots, driving both the creative and technical approach. You have knowledge of a range of compositing techniques and workflows. You will collaborate with the VFX Team and Producers to deliver outstanding VFX work on time and on budget.
Responsibilities- Create outstanding creative VFX work.
- Seamlessly integrate live‑action and computer‑generated elements into visual effects shots that realise the vision and creative direction of our clients.
- Develop visual solutions for a broad range of shots in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and other artists.
- Use a wide range of compositing techniques and processes including 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, and colour grading to produce beautiful work.
- Collaborate and proactively communicate with the wider VFX team to ensure we deliver creative excellence at all times.
- History of delivering outstanding VFX work across commercials, TV or film.
- Strong working knowledge of Flame or Nuke and other industry standard compositing software.
- Great eye and problem‑solving attitude.
- Team player and excellent problem solver.
- Ambitious and strives to deliver excellence at all times.
- Strong understanding of the whole VFX pipeline.
- Keenness to learn and always look for opportunities to expand skills.
