As Lead CG Artist at Black Kite, you are responsible for delivering creative excellence from pitch through to delivery. Using your deep working knowledge of the VFX pipeline, you will provide technical and creative leadership to the team working across the CG pipeline, on a broad range of high end VFX projects. You will collaborate with the VFX Supervisors and Producers to deliver outstanding VFX work on time and on budget.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with VFX Supervisors to develop and implement creative and technical solutions for the CG requirements across a range of VFX projects.
  • Create OUTSTANDING creative work.
  • Lead teams of CG artists to success across a wide range of high end VFX projects.
  • Work with the Production team to pitch for and win projects whilst seeking opportunities to develop client relationships.
  • Support and mentor our creative talent.
  • Deliver client feedback clearly and constructively to your team.
  • Deliver projects that look visually outstanding on time and on budget.
  • Contribute to discussions relating to the CG pipeline and creative workflows.
  • Inspire a culture of creative innovation.

You are a brand ambassador for BLACK KITE – attend industry events and awards shows.

Why YOU?

  • You have experience delivering outstanding VFX work across Commercials, TV and/or film.
  • You have experience leading or supervising teams of CG artists to success.
  • You have a great understanding of the whole VFX pipeline.
  • You have production experience with Houdini and/or Maya and Arnold or other industry standard renderers.
  • You understand 2D workflows and have working knowledge of Nuke.
  • You are a great problem solver and enjoy troubleshooting.
  • You are a team-player with a positive can-do attitude.
  • You are a confident communicator.
  • You are passionate about providing creative solutions and delivering creative excellence.
  • You are ambitious and strive to deliver excellence at all times.
  • You are keen to learn and always look for opportunities to expand your skills.
  • Scripting/programming knowledge would be a plus.
