We are seeking a highly organised and detail oriented Administrator to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and organised Nursery Administrator to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the nursery by managing administrative tasks, liaising with parents, and ensuring that records are accurate and up to date. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a childcare environment and has strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors
  • Manage nursery correspondence including phone calls, emails, and letters
  • Maintain accurate records of children, staff, and attendance
  • Assist with invoicing, fee collection, and financial administration
  • Support the nursery manager with compliance paperwork and Ofsted requirements
  • Order and maintain supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and training sessions
  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection at all times

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in a childcare or education setting
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and nursery management software (training provided if required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality within a nursery environment
