Reports to: Sr. Manager, Strategic Relationships

As an Account Manager III within the UK Retail team, you’ll own and grow one of Blackhawk’s key retail partnerships, driving performance across both our own brands and third‑party gift card offerings. You’ll lead end‑to‑end account performance, identifying commercial growth opportunities and managing budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiations, planogram optimisation, and the launch of new physical and digital products - working closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management
    • Build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with a key retail partner, acting as the main point of contact
    • Own commercial performance, including sales and profit forecasting, analysis, and opportunity identification
    • Analyse weekly and monthly sales and profit results, providing insights and recommendations
    • Support contract renewals, business negotiations, and quarterly business reviews
    • Lead client‑facing aspects of internal and external projects, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
  • Operations
    • Manage all operational activities for the key retail account, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day execution
    • Lead the launch of new physical and digital gift card products end‑to‑end
    • Develop, implement, and optimise planograms, monitoring performance and analysing results
    • Liaise with cross‑functional teams (Commercial Product, IT, Product Implementation, Operations, and Finance) to deliver initiatives effectively
    • Build regional gift card market expertise, monitoring competitor activity and market trends

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a highly commercial environment, ideally within retail or a customer‑facing setting
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of the business, including senior stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills, with advanced Excel capability and confidence manipulating data sets
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, bring structure to daily workflows, and drive outcomes across cross‑functional teams
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to discuss and agree contractual terms with partners
  • A proactive, positive mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and problem‑solving ability; comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite and willing to travel if required
