We have made it our mission to help qualified and displaced people into stable re employmentWe are seeking a capable, organised and commercially aware Paralegal to support our busy specialist Business Immigration, Sponsor Licensing and Sponsor Compliance practiceOur work principally supports UK businesses employing international talent, with particular activity across the Automotive, Aviation Hospitality and Care sectors .This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical casework, dealing directly with businesses and workers, gathering and analysing information, and ensuring that cases are properly prepared and progressed.
The RoleWorking alongside our very unique and highly specialist legal and compliance team, you will assist with a broad range of ancillary work connected with: Sponsor Licence applications and renewalsSkilled Worker visa applicationsDefined and Undefined Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS)Sponsor Management System (SMS) administrationSponsor compliance and ongoing licence managementRight to Work documentation and checksPreparation for Home Office compliance visitsCollating evidence and supporting documentationPreparing application packs, schedules and document indexesDrafting routine correspondence and case documentationLiaising with clients, sponsored workers and candidatesObtaining information and documents from employers and employeesReviewing personnel and sponsorship records for completenessMaintaining case files, deadlines and compliance recordsAssisting with responses to Home Office enquiries and requests for further informationSupporting senior caseworkers on more complex sponsor compliance mattersWho We Are Looking For You should be highly organised, methodical and comfortable working with detailed documentation .You do not necessarily need to be an experienced immigration adviser. We are particularly interested in someone with strong administrative, paralegal or compliance skills who is willing to develop specialist knowledge of the UK's employer sponsorship system.
Experience or a working background within any of the following sectors would be particularly useful: Automotive & Motor Trade | Aviation Hospitality & Restaurants | Health & Social CareUnderstanding how businesses within these sectors actually operate — their staffing structures, recruitment pressures and day-to-day workforce requirements — would be a significant advantage.
Skills & Attributes The successful candidate should have: Excellent written and spoken EnglishStrong attention to detailGood organisational and document-management skillsConfidence communicating with business owners, managers and workersAbility to gather information systematically and identify missing documentationGood Microsoft Office and general IT skillsAbility to manage several matters and deadlines simultaneouslyA professional and confidential approach to client informationInitiative and the ability to work independently once trainedPrevious experience in immigration, legal services, recruitment, HR, compliance or regulated professional services would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
LanguagesOur clients and candidates come from diverse international backgrounds.
Fluency in an additional language, particularly Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi or Bengali , would therefore be advantageous, although it is not an essential requirement.
The Opportunity This is more than a traditional administrative paralegal position.
The successful candidate will gain practical exposure to the UK's Sponsor Licence and Skilled Worker system, working with businesses on real-world recruitment, immigration and regulatory compliance matters.
