Blackgang Chine is no ordinary workplace. Perched on the cliffs of the Isle of Wight, our park is home to rides, attractions, buildings, landscaping, infrastructure and everything in between — all of which need to work together to create a great day out for our visitors.

We’re looking for an experienced and hands‑on Site & Services Manager to take ownership of the maintenance function across the park.

This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll lead our Site & Services Team comprised ofElectricians, Carpenters,RideEngineers and Gardeners. You'll plan and oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, manage contractors and suppliers, and make sure our site, equipment and facilities are safe, reliable and maintained to a high standard.

You’ll work closely with our General Manager and wider management team as one of the key Department Managers, playing an important role in identifying improvements, solving problems and helping shape how the park is maintained, operated and developed.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day Site & Services Team
• Oversee the Ride Engineers and ensure safety and compliance is adhered to
• Develop and implement effective preventative and reactive maintenance schedules.
• Take ownership of the maintenance and upkeep of the park
• Manage external contractors and suppliers
• Monitor maintenance expenditure and identify future investment needs.
• Take a lead role in health and safety within the park
• Support the safe and efficient operation of the park.
• Identify opportunities to improve our systems

About You

We’re looking for someone who is practical, organised and confident taking ownership. You’ll need to be comfortable in a Senior role,leading a varied team of Engineers, Electricians, Mechanics, Carpenters and Gardeners, managing contractors and making decisions when things don’t go to plan.

You’ll ideally have previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, facilities or similar management role, together with a good understanding of health and safety and preventative maintenance. You'll be someone who

• Has strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• Can prioritise effectively in a busy and constantly changing environment.
• Is confident managing and developing a team.
• Has experience managing contractors and external suppliers.
• Understands the importance of health and safety and compliance.
• Can manage budgets and make sensible decisions around expenditure.
• Is proactive and doesn't wait for problems to become bigger problems.
• Takes pride in the standard of work and the -environment they are responsible for.
• Communicates well and works positively with people acrossthe business.
