We are excited to announce a new vacancy within our Asset Management team here at Blackfinch! The New Sales Account Manager will drive and increase Blackfinch’s profile to new adviser firms. By promoting Blackfinch’s Asset Management’s offerings to new prospects this role is critical for driving growth for the business. This role is offered on a Hybrid contract (2‑3 days office based, in Gloucestershire, GL53). The role will also provide essential support to the growing external distribution team by ensuring they have a healthy pipeline of new prospects to meet. This is a fantastic opportunity to create a first impression with prospects who have had little to no exposure to the Group. Being one of the integral members of the BFAM (Blackfinch Asset Management) team you will form a key part of the development of strong and meaningful professional relationships within the investment world. A generous level of on target earnings are on offer for the right candidate who can quickly align with the Groups expediential growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of wholesale clients, including IFA’s, Wealth Managers, Nationals and Networks. Maintain strong, long‑term relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and insight. Deliver high‑quality ongoing client service, addressing queries, coordinating reporting, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
  • Sales & Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across existing and prospective client segments. Present and promote the firm’s investment capabilities, fund strategies, and tailored solutions to clients and prospects. Lead the end‑to‑end sales process from lead generation to closing, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
  • Market & Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the firm’s investment strategies, including equities, fixed income, multi‑asset, alternatives, and ESG products. Monitor industry trends, competitor developments, market dynamics, and regulatory changes. Work closely with investment teams to stay up to date on product performance and positioning.
  • Client Reporting & Insight: Support quarterly and annual reviews, investment updates, and due‑diligence meetings. Analyse client activity, sales metrics, and market data to identify growth opportunities. Provide client feedback to product, marketing, and leadership teams to support continual improvement.
  • Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Support: Partner with marketing to support campaigns, events, presentations, and thought‑leadership content. Work closely with compliance and operations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Support product development by sharing client insights and emerging market needs.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous direct sales experience with evidence of working in a target driven environment.
  • Proven track record in understanding the complex nature of an advice firm business, providing a consultative style sales process, to position our Tailored Portfolio Service as a core requirement for their business.
  • A team player willing to go the extra mile, both commercially and personally driven to succeed.
  • A proven track record of providing great customer service and being customer centric.
  • Proven experience of generating new leads from cold outreach activity including telephone, email and social media contact tools.
  • Be an effective closer in the sales process, using all the techniques and skills you have built up throughout your sales career.
  • A resilient, positive and competitive mindset willing to share ideas and take feedback on board.
  • Evidence of using initiative, drive and determination to get results and enhance processes.
  • Strong relationship building skills with both customers and colleagues.
  • Clear and confident communications skills when on the phone.
  • Excellent written skills when emailing customers with great attention to detail.
  • Experience or working within a structured environment adhering to rules and regulations.
  • Experience of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Office and Word.
  • Experience in using CRM systems and data analysis tools.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

  • Good level of secondary education.
  • Excellent communication, reading and writing skills.
  • To either hold or be prepared to achieve during your first 6 months the R01 qualification (on a sponsorship basis).
