The Product Marketing Lead is responsible for creating the messaging for the Blackfinch propositions to the target audience, to grow the AUM of Blackfinch Group. They will work closely with the investment teams to ensure that product marketing is responding to market conditions, competitors, regulators and customers. They will provide key input to the product development process and own the product marketing assets to ensure they remain compliant and effective in growing our business. They are responsible for overseeing product marketing strategy, messaging, and go-to-market (GTM) plans, bridging Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive product adoption and success by defining positioning, managing launches, creating sales enablement, and acting as the voice of the customer, requiring strong leadership, communication, and market analysis skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Positioning: Develop core product messaging, value propositions, and market positioning.
- Go-to-Market (GTM): Lead launch plans, campaigns, and coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing).
- Market Expertise: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and understand customer needs (voice of the customer).
- Content & Enablement: Create marketing collateral, sales tools, and ensure consistent brand narrative.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from pre-launch planning to post-launch growth. Maintain a high understanding of the investment markets and ensure that the marketing assets reflect the changing market narrative, remaining relevant and effective.
In times of absence, you will be required to deputise for the head of marketing.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Investment Management, tax efficient investing and/or asset management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience creating product marketing content in different formats, for example webinars, brochures, emails, factsheets, sales aids, client planning scenarios.
- Deep understanding of financial services product marketing and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record of generating and maintaining product marketing assets that have effective results.
- Leadership: Influence, mentor, and manage teams and stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills to craft narratives and collaborate.
- Technical Acumen: Understanding of product, buyers' journey, and data-driven decision making.
- Be comfortable working in a busy team, where multiple projects and priorities are running concurrently.
- Be a fantastic communicator, managing stakeholder expectations and keeping everyone up to speed on progress, challenges or opportunities.
- Be able to engage the wider team on ideation and innovation.
- Work collaboratively in a matrix structure, encouraging the giving and receiving of constructive feedback for a constant “adapt and evolve in order to thrive” work ethic.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Services.
- Degree level qualification, or equivalent, in product marketing.
