To support this mission, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) who is hungry for growth, thrives in a fast-paced, ambitious environment, and is ready to play a key role in driving our next phase of commercial success.
What you will be doing:
- Own the entire new business sales process, from prospecting to closing.
- Proactively generate leads and build a robust pipeline through outbound efforts (cold outreach, social selling, networking, events).
- Target HR, People, Finance, and C-suite decision-makers in SMEs and mid-market organisations that align with our Ideal Client Profile (ICP).
- Confidently deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and tailored proposals, both independently and alongside senior leadership where appropriate.
- Leverage your existing network to open doors and accelerate market penetration.
- Provide market feedback to the product and leadership teams to support product-market fit and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline updates in our CRM.
- Represent Thrive at relevant events, conferences, and webinars to build awareness and credibility.
- Help shape and refine the sales process as we scale.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven success in B2B sales, ideally within SaaS, HR tech, employee benefits, or more specifically pensions.
- Strong hunter mentality, driven to generate leads, close deals, and exceed targets.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable owning the full sales cycle in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strategic thinker with a structured, disciplined approach to pipeline development.
- Curious, commercially aware, and passionate about solving real business problems.
- Previous experience selling into HR, Finance, or C-suite decision-makers is highly desirable.
- Experience in pensions, employee benefits, or financial wellbeing is highly advantageous.
