Role Profile
As a Dealing Administrator, you will support the day-to-day implementation and maintenance of investment models across Blackfinch's AIM, Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) and Tailored Portfolio Service (TPS) products.
You will be responsible for implementing approved investment decisions and fund switches, completing model rebalances, building models on investment platforms and maintaining accurate model information across relevant systems. Working closely with the Dealing Manager and Investment teams, you will ensure that dealing and model-management activities are completed accurately, promptly and in accordance with agreed procedures.
Key Responsibilities
AIM
- Implement approved investment decisions across AIM models.
- Complete drift model updates in accordance with approved instructions.
- Rebalance AIM models on investment platforms.
- Build new AIM models on investment platforms using approved model information.
- Maintain accurate records of all model changes and completed activity.
Managed Portfolio Service
- Implement approved investment decisions and fund switches across MPS models.
- Rebalance MPS models on investment platforms.
- Build MPS models on new investment platforms.
- Ensure model information is implemented consistently across all applicable platforms and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all model changes and completed activity.
Tailored Portfolio Service
- Implement approved investment decisions and fund switches across TPS models.
- Rebalance TPS models on investment platforms.
- Build TPS models for new partner firms.
- Update model information on FE Analytics.
- Maintain accurate records of all model changes and completed activity.
Model Management, Controls, and Other Duties
- Complete the ongoing administration and maintenance of investment models according to dealing policy across relevant platforms and third-party systems.
- Ensure that model holdings, weightings and associated information are accurately reflected across relevant systems.
- Prepare completed activity and supporting evidence for independent checking by the Senior Analyst or Dealing Manager.
- Monitor the progress of submitted instructions and identify any unsuccessful, delayed or incomplete activity, retrieve full audit trail of rebalances from the platforms.
- Escalate errors, exceptions, failed instructions, data discrepancies and platform issues promptly to the Dealing Manager.
- Liaise with internal teams and investment-platform contacts to resolve operational and dealing queries.
- Support the continued development and improvement of dealing and model-management spreadsheets and processes.
- Assist with the administration and ongoing monitoring of all Dealing products where needed to review completed trades and client positions.
- Complete tasks such as application checks and ongoing model reviews to help prepare for dealing.
- Complete ad-hoc reviews and projections as queries, new offers, or issues arise.
- Perform ongoing administration of AIM portfolios, company updates, and additional requirements as needed from the AIM team.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the role.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in an administration or operations role within financial services.
- Experience working with investment models or model portfolios.
- Knowledge of investment platforms and platform-based model management.
- Experience implementing investment decisions, fund switches or portfolio rebalances.
- Familiarity with FE Analytics or similar investment-data systems.
- An understanding of AIM, managed portfolio services and discretionary investment management.
Desirable Qualifications
Holds, or is willing to work towards, a relevant financial-services or investment qualification.
