We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Application Support Engineer who embodies strong customer service skills and excellent communication abilities to join our talented team. Your role will be to provide technical assistance and support to users to ensure timely resolution of product issues and support with issue of all investment reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary escalation point, addressing and resolving second-line technical issues.
- Problem solve and troubleshoot a variety of product related incidents within agreed timescales.
- Triage unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software engineers).
- Follow and maintain technical documentation and processes to deliver solutions.
- Where required, document new technical processes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ensure all issues are correctly logged.
- Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem.
- Work to a high level of quality, testing own work prior to delivery.
- Track work items through to resolution with an agile mindset using kanban or scrum.
Skills & Experience
- Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Application Support Engineer or similar role.
- Experience in following and improving technical documentation.
- Good understanding of computer systems, applications, configuration, Microsoft Office 365 applications and Windows environments.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Familiarity using command line interfaces (CLIs).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational & technical skills, the ability to both prioritise workloads and work unsupervised.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Industry recognised certifications would be beneficial.
