We’re seeking a proactive Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing client in Hampshire on a permanent basis, supporting Manufacturing, Facilities/Utilities, and Laboratory operations.

About the Role

As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping essential equipment running smoothly across the site. You’ll deliver high‑quality engineering support, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance plant uptime and reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Performing repair and maintenance tasks across manufacturing, facilities, and lab equipment
  • Carrying out routine preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability
  • Supporting the development of new maintenance activities aligned with plant improvements
  • Working alongside specialist contractors on routine and reactive tasks
  • Diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, identifying corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate spare parts control and documentation
  • Participating fully in safety initiatives, reporting, and training
  • Performing instrumentation calibration and adjustments within validated limits
  • Ensuring CMMS and related data systems remain accurate and up to date
  • Upholding the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and quality in all activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Post‑secondary education or technical trade qualification (apprenticeship/traineeship welcomed)
  • Strong hands‑on engineering experience in a technical environment
  • Knowledge of calibration standards and methods
