- We are looking for an experienced
Senior / Lead Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning and start-up of a new laboratory and R&D facility.
You will coordinate commissioning activities from construction through to operational handover, ensuring all systems are tested, verified and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate commissioning activities across multiple contractors and disciplines.
- Develop commissioning plans, schedules and testing strategies.
- Manage commissioning of HVAC, MEP, BMS/EMS, laboratory systems, process utilities, and fire & life safety systems.
- Oversee functional, performance and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Review commissioning documentation, test records and handover packages.
- Ensure systems are commissioning-ready and manage punch list closure.
- Support operational readiness, training and final handover.
- Promote safe commissioning practices, including LOTO and risk management.
- Provide progress updates to project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven commissioning experience on complex construction or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, MEP, BMS/EMS, process utilities and specialist laboratory systems.
- Experience within laboratories, R&D facilities or other highly serviced technical environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and commissioning documentation.
- Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
