Blackfield Associates are partnering with a world leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in their search for DeltaV Engineers. This role is primarily site-based, requiring attendance on-site 4 days per week to support operational activities, troubleshooting, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain DeltaV systems across manufacturing and process environments
- Perform system configuration, modifications, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities
- Develop and maintain control modules, batch logic, graphics, alarms, and historian interfaces
- Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities in line with GMP requirements
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Validation, QA, and Maintenance
- Investigate automation issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Participate in change control, deviation investigations, and documentation updates
- Assist with automation improvement projects focused on reliability, efficiency, and compliance
- Support system lifecycle management, backups, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery activities
- Ensure all work complies with site safety standards and regulatory requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands‑on DeltaV engineering experience within pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing
- Strong understanding of DeltaV systems and process automation principles
- Experience working in GMP‑regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of batch processing, process control strategies, and instrumentation integration
- Familiarity with validation documentation including IQ/OQ/PQ and change management processes
- Ability to troubleshoot automation and control system issues in a live production environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Automation, Controls, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
