We are seeking a Molecular Biologist to join a biopharmaceutical company in the South East of England on a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension or transition to a permanent role. The ideal start date for this role is September.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out molecular and cellular biology experiments within a research and development setting
  • Perform cell culture work and in vitro assays to support ongoing research projects
  • Conduct gene expression analysis and related molecular techniques (e.g. DNA/RNA extraction, RT-qPCR)
  • Support assay development, protocol optimisation, and troubleshooting of experiments
  • Analyse and present experimental data using Excel and GraphPad Prism
  • Contribute to ongoing product development activities within a gene therapy research environment

What you’ll need:

  • MSc in a Life Science discipline (e.g. Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience in cell culture and in vitro laboratory techniques
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques, including gene expression analysis
  • Ability to quickly learn new protocols and contribute effectively to an established research programme with minimal supervision
