Are you an experienced Calibration Specialist / Subject Matter Expert looking to make an impact in a cutting-edge, GMP-regulated environment? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring that assets supporting the manufacture and testing of advanced gene therapy products are maintained to the highest standards.
About the Role
You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Calibration, Metrology, and Planned Maintenance—providing technical leadership, troubleshooting expertise, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety standards. Your mission will be to ensure that all assets critical to production are available, reliable, and fit for use through robust maintenance and calibration strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, implement, and optimize maintenance and calibration approaches for GMP assets.
- Supervise and coordinate both internal and external maintenance and calibration activities.
- Create, review, and approve technical documentation throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Provide expert input into Service Level Agreements and technical standards.
- Maintain inspection readiness and support regulatory audits as the SME for Calibration & Maintenance.
- Manage quality processes including CAPAs, deviations, and change controls.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, service, and cost efficiency.
About You
- HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in maintenance and calibration within GMP or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead internal and external teams.
- Committed to high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
