Blackfield Associates are supporting a Top 10 Pharmaceutical client on a key hire into their UK Affiliate to work across their broad portfolio, delivering HTA submissions to UK Market Access bodies.
This role sits within a dedicated Health Outcomes team and focuses on the development and communication of health outcomes evidence to support the recommendation of new and existing products by health technology assessment (HTA) bodies in the UK and Ireland. The role contributes to integrated market access strategies and involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
The Health Outcomes function is part of a broader Market Access team that works closely with healthcare systems to adapt to changing environments and ensure that medicines and vaccines provide long-term value to patients. The team informs strategy by providing insight and collaborates across departments such as Public Affairs, Communications, and other business units. With a diverse product portfolio ranging from rare diseases to vaccines, the team embraces collaborative problem-solving and innovation to maintain patient access to essential treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop HTA submissions for new products and indications in the UK and Ireland
- Design frameworks for submissions and align with relevant stakeholders before full development
- Collaborate with brand teams, field colleagues, and global teams to deliver outcomes-focused projects
- Build and maintain strong external partnerships to support evidence generation
- Engage with early product planning and contribute to early HTA planning activities
- Generate and publish real-world evidence to support submissions and brand strategies
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- An advanced degree in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, or Evidence-Based Medicine
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex data in an understandable way
- Proven project management experience
- Background in the pharmaceutical, consultancy, or academic sectors related to health outcomes
- Experience with UK HTA submissions (preferred)
- Solid understanding of the UK healthcare system and market access landscape
- Experience working within cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as the ABPI Code of Practice and their application
