Blackfield Associates is partnering with a leading Pharmaceutical wholesale organisation in the search for a Head of Quality (RP / RPi) based in London. This key leadership role will ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practices across the company’s UK operations while overseeing licensing, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Responsible Person (RP / RPi), ensuring compliance with GDP, GMP, and regulatory requirements for the company’s WDA and MS licences.
- Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System, including audits, CAPA, validation, and risk management.
- Lead internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and interactions with bodies such as MHRA, FDA, and HPRA.
- Develop and deliver GDP/GMP training to internal teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define and monitor quality performance KPIs, ensuring effective quality strategies and compliance across medicines, medical devices, and cosmetics.
The successful candidate will have extensive quality assurance experience within a global supply chain environment, acting as a Responsible Person. They will have a strong understanding of GDP, GMP, and regulatory frameworks (MHRA, FDA, HPRA) and a proven track record of managing QMS and compliance strategies. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with a deep knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics.
