As an R&D Engineer, you will play a key role across the full product development lifecycle, from early concept through to manufacturing readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prototype and evaluate new product concepts
  • Design and execute experimental studies for product validation
  • Support design activities including tolerancing and performance verification
  • Contribute to product and process qualification, including manufacturing readiness
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes for current and future products
  • Create tooling, procedures, and technical documentation
  • Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing, including troubleshooting
  • Assess and implement engineering change requests
  • Support transfer of new processes into production environments
  • Document development work and contribute to technical reporting
About You

You will be a technically strong, hands-on engineer with a solid foundation in R&D and a passion for innovation in a fast-paced environment. Educated to MSc or PhD level in Physics, Optical Engineering, or a related discipline. You will have a strong understanding of geometric and physical optics, complemented by excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with programming (Python or similar), laser systems, or regulated environments would be advantageous, as would familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Working Environment
  • Primarily on-site role (up to 5 days/week)
  • Occasional travel as required
  • Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones
  • Fast-paced, high-growth environment requiring adaptability and initiative
