Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical input and support for commissioning strategy development.
- Attend daily construction coordination meetings and provide progress updates.
- Plan and participate in ad hoc project meetings to support delivery objectives.
- Execute weekly activities in accordance with project schedules and assigned deliverables.
- Escalate risks, delays, or issues affecting deliverables to the C&Q Lead.
- Perform on-site quality inspections of mechanical installations, raising and managing punch list items through to closure.
- Conduct progressive reviews of construction turnover and handover documentation.
- Support mechanical completion activities and acceptance for commissioning and start-up of facility, HVAC, and utility systems.
- Assist with FAT and SAT planning activities.
- Review FAT and SAT protocols and supporting documentation.
- Execute and/or witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at vendor facilities.
- Witness commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
- Prepare task-specific method statements and risk assessments.
- Produce detailed summary reports throughout commissioning and qualification phases.
- Perform Design Qualification (DQ) activities for applicable systems.
- Develop Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) protocols in compliance with ALCOA+ principles.
- Execute IQ and OQ protocols and ensure accurate GMP-compliant documentation.
Essential Experience
- Mechanical engineering background with commissioning and qualification experience.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, facility infrastructure, and process/utilities start-up and commissioning within regulated environments.
- Strong understanding and application of ALCOA+ principles during document preparation and execution.
- Experience working with controlled document management systems.
- Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, including permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Ability to work independently and proactively to achieve project objectives.
- Flexible approach to working patterns to meet project and schedule requirements.
