Blackfield Associates are assisting in the search for an Automation Engineer for an international pharmaceutical organisation. The primary purpose of this automation position is to support the final installation and commissioning phase of a Filling Line, to help continued development and support of the manufacturing processes.

The main focus of this position will be to work as part of the automation team during the installation & commissioning phase of a filling line. You will need to be skilled in Siemens Tia Portal and have experience with Functional Safety circuits. Experience with other major automation systems will be an added advantage. S7 experience is also essential.

Qualifications:

  • Primary degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Computer science, Electrical engineering, or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Candidates need to have significant experience working with automation and equipment controls within a pharma-manufacturing or similarly regulated environment.

Specialised skills/technical knowledge:

  • SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems
  • Siemens Tia Portal
  • Installation & commissioning experience
  • Functional Safety circuits

This is a Contract role for 6 months outside IR35. However, this will require you to work full time onsite.
