An established and highly regarded construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team, supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across Central London. The Role

  • Working as part of an experienced commercial team, you will be involved in the successful delivery of projects from early-stage cost planning through to final account.
  • The position offers a strong blend of client-facing responsibility, technical commercial work and project leadership.
  • Projects are primarily located across Central London, with occasional involvement in wider UK schemes depending on client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of construction projects from inception to completion
  • Cost planning, budgeting and financial reporting
  • Procurement and subcontract management
  • Contract administration and change control
  • Preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts
  • Client and stakeholder management
  • Identifying and managing commercial risk
  • Supporting junior members of the commercial team where appropriate

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, consultancy or major projects environments
  • Experience delivering medium to large-scale construction projects
  • Strong understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
  • Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships effectively
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • MRICS or progressing towards chartership would be advantageous
