The Role

Reporting to a senior leadership figure within BMS/Controls, you will act as a technical authority for BMS design and delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring projects meet the highest technical standards while supporting the wider business in advancing capability and innovation. This is a hands-on, client-facing role, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, and specialist consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of BMS designs, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Act as a subject matter expert across BMS and integrated systems (e.g. security, fire, access control, IT networks)
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver fully integrated, high-quality designs
  • Chair and contribute to client meetings, workshops, and technical presentations
  • Review contractor submissions, tender documentation, and technical proposals
  • Support project delivery through site inspections, commissioning oversight, and witnessing activities
  • Manage deliverables and resources in line with programme requirements
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in BMS design and implementation
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, strengthening technical capability across teams
