Blackedge Consulting is working closely with an established and growing multidisciplinary Design & Build consultancy in Portsmouth, supporting the appointment of a BIM Coordinator to play an important part in its continued development.

With an exciting portfolio of projects, including work within the MOD and UK defence sector, this is an opportunity to work alongside architects, civil and structural engineers, building services specialists and other technical professionals within a genuinely collaborative environment.

The opportunity

You'll be at the heart of multidisciplinary design coordination, helping ensure that models, information and technical deliverables come together accurately and efficiently.

This isn't about working in isolation behind a screen. You'll be engaging with design teams, solving coordination challenges and contributing to how digital information is managed across projects.

Your involvement will include:

• Coordinating BIM models and information across multiple design disciplines.
• Identifying and helping resolve design clashes and technical coordination issues.
• Working closely with architects, engineers and project teams to maintain accurate, reliable models.
• Supporting consistent BIM standards, information management and project delivery processes.
• Contributing ideas to improve digital workflows, collaboration and the way projects are delivered.

Who are we interested in?

We're interested in people who understand the value of good BIM coordination and enjoy working across technical disciplines.

You may already be working as a BIM Coordinator, BIM Technician, Digital Design Coordinator or in a similar role within architecture, engineering or construction.

What matters is your practical experience of multidisciplinary model coordination, understanding of BIM processes and ability to communicate effectively with different technical teams.

We're particularly interested in people who enjoy solving problems, take pride in the quality of their work and want to contribute beyond their immediate responsibilities.

Previous MOD or defence experience would be interesting, but isn't essential. The ability to meet the relevant security and UK Eyes Only eligibility requirements will be necessary for certain projects.
