An established, international MEP design consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing London team. With a strong global footprint and a reputation for delivering high-quality, technically complex projects, this organisation operates across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on mission-critical and data centre developments. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take a leading role in project delivery, providing technical expertise, design input, and client-focused solutions. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary environment, supporting both project execution and the development of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the successful delivery of project objectives through technical input and engineering expertise
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery
- Prepare specifications, drawings, and contract documentation in line with relevant standards
- Deliver mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme constraints while maintaining technical quality
- Provide mechanical design solutions across a range of building and infrastructure projects
- Manage scope and design changes in line with project controls and client requirements
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience operating at Senior Engineer level
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical building services design
- Experience in data centres or mission-critical environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of related disciplines such as fire engineering, acoustics, and building modelling
- Chartered status (or working towards) with a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE)
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, IES, Hevacomp, CFD software, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Work on high-profile, international data centre projects
