Step into a senior leadership role with a global consultancy delivering mission-critical data centre projects across the UK, Europe, and beyond. As Technical Director, you will own the technical vision, shape strategic direction, and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering excellence on high-profile projects.
Responsibilities:- Lead multi-disciplinary design teams (electrical, mechanical, and MEP) on technically complex data centre projects across the UK, Europe, and international markets.
- Shape the technical vision and strategy for key clients, driving innovation, resilience, energy efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring projects meet technical, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
- Represent the consultancy at global industry events, technical committees, and client meetings, enhancing professional and company profile.
- Mentor and develop senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Oversee project delivery, commercial management, and contract compliance, maintaining the highest standards across all engineering disciplines.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent, with a relevant degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services) or substantial experience at a senior level.
- Proven experience leading complex, mission-critical data centre projects, ideally in international markets.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
- Deep knowledge of UK and international building standards, codes, health & safety, and commercial project management.
- Commercially aware with experience in project budgets, P&L oversight, and contract negotiation.
