A leading international engineering and design consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Associate Engineer to join its growing Data Centre team in London. The Opportunity
As an Associate, you'll take a key leadership role within an expanding multidisciplinary team, leading the design and delivery of complex data centre developments from concept through to commissioning. You'll be responsible for managing projects, leading technical teams, mentoring engineers and building strong client relationships, with a clear pathway towards Associate Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams on major mission critical projects.
- Coordinate projects from feasibility through detailed design, construction and commissioning.
- Provide technical leadership across complex engineering solutions.
- Manage project planning, delivery, commercial performance and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical and quality standards.
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers.
- Support business growth through client engagement and industry networking.
- Travel to project locations where required.
About You
You'll have significant experience delivering large-scale data centre or mission critical projects and be confident leading engineering teams throughout the full project lifecycle. You'll also demonstrate experience in:
- Leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Client-facing project leadership.
- Cooling system design, including chilled water solutions.
- PUE and WUE optimisation.
- Tier resilience and business continuity strategies.
- Testing and commissioning of mission critical facilities.
- Managing project budgets, programmes and commercial performance.
