An established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety / CDM Consultant to join its growing team in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of construction projects while joining a collaborative and supportive environment that values professional development, flexibility and career progression.
The role will primarily focus on the delivery of CDM services and undertaking the Principal Designer role under CDM 2015 regulations, although experience delivering wider Health & Safety consultancy services would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering CDM and Health & Safety consultancy services across multiple construction projects
- Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015
- Preparing pre-construction information and associated CDM documentation
- Reviewing contractor documentation and ensuring designer compliance
- Advising clients on procurement routes and consultant appointments
- Liaising with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
- Supporting business development activities within the region
- Keeping up to date with relevant construction legislation and best practice
The successful candidate will ideally come from a construction, engineering or design background and demonstrate strong technical and client-facing capabilities.
- Professional qualification in construction, engineering or design
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
- Experience in a similar CDM / Health & Safety role
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
- Knowledge of wider Health & Safety legislation within construction
- Working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Membership of APS and/or IOSH
- Experience delivering Health & Safety training
