With a strong international presence and a reputation for delivering technically complex projects, the business specialises in mission-critical and data centre developments across global markets.
Due to continued growth, this is a key opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a technical leadership role on high-profile, challenging projects.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading mechanical design delivery, providing technical oversight, and supporting the development of both projects and people. You will contribute to the successful execution of complex data centre schemes while helping drive quality, innovation, and best practice across the team.
- Lead mechanical design delivery across projects from concept through to completion
- Support the preparation and delivery of project objectives, ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Deliver mechanical building services design solutions across data centre and infrastructure projects
- Manage project scope, programme, and budget in line with change control processes
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience operating at Senior or Principal Engineer level
- Strong technical expertise across mechanical building services design
- Demonstrable experience in data centre or mission-critical projects (highly desirable)
- Broad understanding of complementary disciplines such as acoustics, fire engineering, and building modelling
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, IES, Hevacomp, and CFD tools
