A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Engineer to join its growing Building Design Practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to develop their career within a collaborative, innovative, and highly supportive environment. The successful candidate will join a specialist Building Technologies team delivering engineering solutions across sectors including Aviation, Defence, Education, Energy, and Transportation.

The Role

  • Designing and implementing BEMS strategies aligned with building services systems
  • Producing specifications, schematics, points schedules, and technical drawings
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary MEP teams and international technical centres
  • Conducting site surveys, inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
  • Providing technical advice on controls strategies and emerging technologies
  • Supporting the development of technical standards and mentoring junior engineers
  • Representing the business in client and contractor meetings

About You

  • Strong experience in BEMS design, application, and commissioning
  • Practical site-based experience including installation, testing, and fault finding
  • Knowledge of BEMS networks, protocols, and supervisor systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Degree qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel across the UK when required
