Due to continued growth and an exciting pipeline of hyperscale, colocation, and bespoke data centre projects, we are seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a senior technical lead role working on cutting-edge data centres for major clients across multiple markets.
Who We're Looking For:
We welcome applications from Senior Electrical Engineers with solid experience in designing and coordinating building services for data centres, particularly in hyperscale, colocation, or similar mission-critical environments. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering robust, energy-efficient, and resilient systems from initial design through to commissioning across the UK and European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical system design for hyperscale and colocation data centre projects across the UK and Europe
- Develop LV/MV/HV designs including UPS, switchgear, generators, and standby power systems
- Produce single-line diagrams, load calculations, and technical specifications
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and BMS teams to ensure seamless integration
- Manage client and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with UK and international standards (BS, IEC, ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA)
- Support construction, commissioning, and handover phases on projects across the UK and Europe
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practice and technical excellence
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Electrical
- Relevant experience with hyperscale, colocation, and data centre projects
- Strong core discipline expertise with awareness of multidisciplinary coordination
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Hevacomp, ETAP, IES, or similar
- Knowledge of UK and European codes and standards
- Chartered status or working towards it is preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
