- To work under the supervision of the Registered Manager and Registered Nurses to provide the residents with an appropriate level of care and support. To respect the privacy, dignity and independence of the residents, working to agreed quality standards.
- Provide general basic care to include washing, dressing and undressing, bathing, continence care, toileting and emptying catheter bags, assisting with feeding and drinking. All to a high standard of quality.
- To use moving and handling aides as established in mobility assessment, for the safety of residents and carers.
- Be responsible for feeding back to nurses any change observed in a residents condition.
- Be responsible for your own actions, and ask for help when it is needed.
- Assist with the preparation and serving of food and drinks as required.
- Understand and accept your responsibility as part of the wider team, ensuring a safe working environment for residents and staff, and bringing any Health and Safety worries to the attention of the nurse in charge.
- Understand the principles and practice of confidentiality.
- Undertake all training and updates as deemed to be necessary, and attend staff meetings.
- Document all activities in the care plans, and use other documentation as requested, ensuring all entries are signed and dated.
- To follow all policies and procedures of Golfhill Ltd.
- To undertake any other jobs requested of you.
