Leading automotive services company providing fleet management solutions is on the lookout for an experienced Solutions Architect to join them on a 12-month contract.

This role sits at the heart of a major transformation programme that touches every part of their operations — from front-end user experience, through supplier integrations, to back-office systems, focusing mainly on the \"vehicle maintenance\" operational processes.

The role is for 12 months and can be based in Wiltshire or Birmingham 2-3 days/week, and is looking at staring ASAP.

As the Solutions Architect, you will be:

  • Assessing and shaping the current architecture across a mix of custom-built and heavily modified legacy systems.
  • Designing future-ready solutions that optimise \"vehicle maintenance\" operations while respecting the constraints of existing platforms.
  • Working on changes spanning; user experience of the customers, supplier and partner integrations, and operational systems supporting fleet maintenance and management.
  • Collaborating with a supportive team of developers, Enterprise Architects, and fellow Solution Architects.
  • A self-starter who can quickly get up to speed — you’ll have access to the right people and systems, but we need someone who can figure things out fast (which comes with experience!)
  • Someone with excellent communication skills, able to engage stakeholders and bring clarity to complex problems.
  • Someone passionate about technology — perhaps even a tinkerer outside of work.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in complex, legacy-heavy environments and can design solutions to move the business forward without starting from scratch.

Interviews will start to take place this week - Send your CV now with a cover note addressing your relevant experience including any fleet management, vehicle/asset maintenance solutions experience, and I shall be in touch to discuss.
