Product Documentation Writer / Specialist opportunity has been created within the Product function of a High Growth LegalTech AI scale-up. You will own and professionalise all product-related content and internal documentation, focused on understanding how the product works and how it is used, becoming a subject-matter expert for both internal teams and external customers.
The role requires 3 days/week on site in Central London and is offering a competitive salary + bonuses, benefits and equity.
Today, documentation is managed as an ad-hoc responsibility across product and engineering. As the company continues to scale and the product surface area expands, the Product Documentation, Technical Writer will:
- Translate complex, AI-driven legal workflows into clear, structured documentation
- Carry out Technical writing to build out and improve product documentation
- Enable internal teams and customers to understand, adopt, and extract value on both existing and new product features and processes
- Own internal product documentation, how-to guides, and best-practice playbooks
- Create demo scripts, walkthroughs, & enablement content for internal teams and customers
- Own release notes and product update communications, explaining impact and value
- Bring structure and consistency to product knowledge through templates and standards
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Product Specialists to stay aligned with the roadmap and real user needs
Required experience:
- Experience in technical writing, product documentation or knowledge management within a product-led environment (SaaS or B2B technology environment)
- Experience working with product, software engineering teams and/or AI teams
- Strong academic background with a degree in Law, English, Humanities, or a related subject (or equivalent), from a top university
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for technology, AI, and how complex products are used in practice, particularly within the legal sector
- Excellent written communication skills with clear evidence of structured thinking and clarity of expression
