We are a friendly school with dedicated staff who work together as a fantastic team with the focus on continual improvement.
We are looking to appoint welfare assistants. The hours of work will be:
2 positions β 6 hours 15 minutes per week (11.50 am - 1.05pm) - five days a week term time to ensure smooth running of playtime outside.
1 position β 7 hours 5 minutes per week (11.35 am β 1.05pm) - five days a week term time based primarily in the hall ensuring the smooth running of dinner inside working closely with the kitchen.
We are looking for a warm, friendly, caring Welfare Assistants to join our team.
Our ideal candidate will be able to:
- Set up and clear away the dining hall before and after meals
- Supervise children during meal times, in the playground or classrooms during wet weather
- Support younger children with meals, hygiene routines and engaging in structured play
- Handle minor first aid, manage behaviour positively and maintain the schools safeguarding policies
- Develop positive relationships with both adults and children
- Be calm and supportive with pupils
- Help children organise playground games and join in their games
- Manage behaviour in accordance with our Behaviour Policy
