We’re looking for an experienced Lead Data Analyst to take a leading role in our Data and Insight services, combining hands on analytical expertise with people leadership and strategic thinking. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence how data is used across a large, complex organisation and to help drive improvements that genuinely make a difference.

About the role

As our Lead Data Analyst, you’ll provide senior leadership across our data and analytics function, ensuring high quality insight supports services, decision making and organisational priorities. You’ll act as the senior escalation point for complex analytical challenges, lead improvements in data quality and reporting, and work closely with architects and service teams to ensure our data is trusted, governed and used effectively. You’ll also manage and mentor a small team of Analysts, supporting their development while ensuring accurate, timely and meaningful insight is delivered day to day.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the delivery and continuous improvement of data analysis, reporting and business intelligence services
  • Acting as the senior escalation point for complex analytical issues, data interpretation and reporting challenges
  • Managing and developing a team of Analysts, coordinating workloads and supporting professional growth
  • Driving improvements in data quality, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and fit for purpose across systems
  • Working closely with the Architecture and Data teams to align analytics with strategic IT and data direction
  • Leading the analytical delivery of data related projects, including reporting, migration validation and insight development
  • Ensuring reporting outputs meet agreed standards, supporting business needs, KPIs and performance frameworks
  • Maintaining strong governance, documentation and compliance with data protection and information governance requirements
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, translating business needs into meaningful insight and reporting
