The Role

We are seeking to appoint another motivated, enthusiastic, and highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. You will work across our whole school community providing cover for PPA and part-time teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with teachers, plan, prepare and deliver lessons.
  • Deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, and whole classes as appropriate.
  • Supervise and manage classroom activities, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Plan and adapt lessons under the guidance of teachers.
  • Provide support for pupils with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Contribute to assessment, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.
  • Maintain excellent communication with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent qualifications/experience (e.g., Level 4).
  • Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, creativity, and resilience in a busy school environment.
