We are recruiting a Business Rates Manager to join and lead our busy, fast-paced Business Rates team within our Revenues and Benefits service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to play a key role in delivering an efficient, customer-focused and compliant Business Rates service.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Business Rates legislation, regulations and working practices, and will be confident applying these in a practical operational environment. You will be responsible for supporting the effective billing, collection and recovery of Business Rates, ensuring that work is completed accurately, promptly and in line with statutory requirements.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and confident in leading, supporting and developing others. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves working closely with colleagues, ratepayers, agents, external partners and other stakeholders. Previous management or supervisory experience is desirable.
