Blackburn Central High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Geography to join our successful Humanities Faculty on a 1-year maternity cover contract from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, achievement and a love of learning.
We are looking for a teacher who is committed to high standards of teaching and learning and who can contribute positively to a supportive and ambitious department.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across the ability range
- Monitor and support student progress and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
- Promote excellent behaviour, inclusion and student wellbeing
- Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated Humanities team
