  • Grade/Salary: Grade C, SCP 3-5, £24,796 to £25,583 per annum, pro rata
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Contract Terms: 25 hours, Part Time, Term Time + 3 weeks (7:00-9:00 and 15:00-18:00 split shift)

Griffin Park Primary School are looking to appoint a Site Supervisor to join our lovely friendly and dedicated team who provide primary education for pupils. We are looking for a caring and responsible person to join the team taking responsibility for building, site supervision and security of the school. The successful candidate will be responsible to the Headteacher/SBM for security, janitorial duties and aspects of general maintenance. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check.

Responsibilities:

  • Opening and securing the school premises.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Managing site security, alarms, and key-holding duties.
  • Monitoring heating, lighting, water systems, and building services.
  • Supervising cleaning standards, supporting cleaning staff and covering for cleaners in case of short-term absence.
  • Conducting health and safety checks, risk assessments, and compliance inspections.
  • Ensuring the school grounds are safe, clean, and well maintained.
  • Assisting with room setup for assemblies, events, and school activities.
  • Supporting emergency procedures and responding to site-related incidents.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience of building maintenance, caretaking, facilities management, or a similar role.
  • Good practical skills in basic repairs, maintenance, decorating, and health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to carry out routine inspections and identify maintenance issues.
  • Knowledge of school security procedures, including opening and closing premises.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
