The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 Β£ per year.
Apple Trees are looking to recruit 5 Support Workers to work in our progressive and 'Outstanding' short break service supporting children and young people who have a learning disability, autism, physical disability or complex health needs. These young people may have had adverse childhood experiences which need to be considered alongside their disabilities and additional needs. The work at Apple Trees is challenging but highly rewarding. You will need to be confident that you have the strength of character and ability to cope with the challenges the work may bring.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care
- Administration of medication
- Completing of records
- Attendance at team meetings / training during the day
Qualifications
The candidate must be over the age of 22 and have experience of supporting children and young people with these types of needs and have experience of working in a residential setting or relative experience. Diploma level 3 which is equivalent to NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care/Children and Young People or be working towards or the ability to attain this within a specific period of time, other equivalent qualifications to be considered (in an associated field i.e. Child Care, Youth Work, Working with Children and Young People).

- Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
- Ability to respond to emergency situations
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a residential setting
- Relevant qualifications in associated fields
Terms and Conditions
The following permanent contracts are available:
- 1x 30 hours per week (day shifts)
- 2x 25 hours per week (day shifts)
- 2x 20 hours per week (night shifts)
- 1x 30 hours per week (night shifts)
