This role is integral to the Public Health team and holds responsibility for key business functions to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the service.
Responsibilities
- You will require excellent organisational skills, a proven track record in business management, and experience of audit, governance and quality improvement processes.
- The post holder will be proactive and able to work independently, with a high degree of accuracy, probity, flexibility, risk awareness and accountability.
- You will provide day-to-day coordination and oversight of the annual Public Health budget (circa Β£22m) and associated assurance processes.
- You will support Public Health business planning activities and be responsible for key governance functions, including performance management, risk management and business continuity across both Public Health.
- In addition, the post holder will manage the Executive Support function within the Adults & Health Directorate, providing leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality support to senior officers and effective coordination of key business activities across the directorate.
