The Club is now looking to appoint a Head of Football Administration to lead its football administration function across the first team and wider football operation.
As Head of Football Administration, you will play a central role in the smooth running of the Club’s football department.
You will oversee player registrations, contracts, transfer processes, regulatory submissions and matchday administration, while providing trusted advice to senior football leaders.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a key function within a Championship football environment and help strengthen the systems, processes and standards that support the Club’s football operation.
The Impact You’ll Make You will lead the Club’s football administration function and take responsibility for all core regulatory, contractual and registration activity.
You will manage domestic and international player registrations, transfer documentation, FIFA Transfer Matching System processes, international transfer certificates, work permits and Governing Body Endorsement requirements.
You will coordinate player contracts, contract changes, extensions, loan agreements, bonuses and performance-related triggers, ensuring accurate information is shared with payroll, finance and senior football colleagues.
You will act as a key point of contact with the English Football League, The Football Association, agents, clubs, legal advisers and other governing bodies.
You will support the planning and delivery of transfer windows, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and within strict deadlines.
You will lead and develop the wider football administration team, creating clear responsibilities, strong processes and high standards across the department.
You will help improve the Club’s use of Sports Decision, ensuring player, contract and regulatory information is accurate, current and available to the relevant decision-makers.
You will also support home matchday administration and work across both the training ground and Ewood Park.
Your Skills and Experience Proven football administration experience within a professional football club, league, governing body or closely related environment.
Strong knowledge of English Football League and Football Association rules, player registrations, contracts and transfer processes.
Experience working through transfer windows and managing time-sensitive regulatory submissions.
Strong understanding of FIFA Transfer Matching System processes, international transfers and work permit requirements.
Experience managing player contracts, loan agreements, bonuses and contract triggers.
The ability to lead, support and develop colleagues across a football administration function.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior football leaders, agents, legal advisers, clubs and governing bodies.
A practical approach to systems, data and process improvement.
The role will be based primarily at the Club’s training ground, with regular time at Ewood Park and attendance at home matchdays.
