Decorated film directors cut their teeth in the world of advertising. That could well be true of the next generation. But it's more than likely their visual craft will be shaped by a desire to fight against AI slop and a world addicted to bog standard. We're looking for someone with ideas and desire and... a need to be different. Audiences are ever-changing, and the ways to reach them are too. Whether they're an aspiring young tech‑head doom‑scrolling on TikTok or a career‑changing hobbyist falling down a rabbit hole on Reddit, we need to adapt to keep up with who they are, where they are and what they're doing there.
Someone with a passion, understanding and consideration for the multitude of ways stories can be told and delivered to audiences. To bring your ideas to life on the small screen. To know which platforms to turn to, which software is best used where, how to properly light and shoot and capture audio on a production‑level and social‑friendly film set. To own the process and work to deliver slick, stylised, beautifully crafted content, all as part of a team, of course.
Based in Spitalfields, you'll be joining a small creative team (c.8) made up of motion graphics specialists, designers, art directors and writers operating within a bespoke 35 people agency. We specialise in employer communications. Whether it's social and digital experts, account handlers, project managers, or insight enthusiasts, everything we do is part of our collaborative process to solve recruitment problems. So show us what you've got. Grab our attention. Stop us in our feeds. We're excited to meet you.
Person Specification- A strong portfolio/showreel showing both shooting + editing, including social‑first work and at least some higher‑production‑value content
- Solid experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects (plus any extra tools you feel will elevate the work you deliver)
- Confident with cameras, lenses, lighting and audio (and making smart trade‑offs when moving quickly)
- Strong post craft: colour, sound, motion graphics, and a clear eye for pacing, story and detail
- Comfortable working directly with clients and guiding non‑actors on camera
- Unlike most agencies, we're employee‑owned – which is exactly as it sounds. After 12 months, you'll become a Partner of Blackbridge and receive your fair share of our profits
- Being employee‑owned, we have a colleague appointed representative (Partner Councillor) who gives us the chance to voice our opinions on various elements of the business in an open and productive manner
- A work‑life balance is important to who we are, that's why we have a hybrid work policy, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
- We have regular socials and events to give us the chance to make genuine friendships and connections outside of the workday. Activities we've had in the past include quiz nights, karaoke, drinks at various Central London pubs/bars and The Cube
- 25 days' holiday with 1.5 days gifted over Christmas
- Our Employee Assistance Programme is available to you 24/7, which offers mental health support through courses and counselling sessions
- Health Cash Plan – claim back costs for everyday healthcare (dental, optical, prescriptions, physiotherapy, etc.), plus access to a wide range of discounts
- Enhanced parental pay and leave, so you can settle your family in, enjoy the early days and maintain your sense of financial security
- You'll have access to our company pension scheme, helping you save towards your long‑term financial wellbeing
