This position reports to: Marketing & Sales Manager
Job Summary
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective sales strategy within the Industrial and OEM market scope, to improve ABB’s market penetration and realise growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the sales organization to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
- Work model: onsite
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to drive high performance, clear goal alignment, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver proactive sales execution, promoting ELIP products, achieving sales targets, and ensuring strong customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Provide technical expertise and product/application support, resolving issues in collaboration with Quality, Service, and Customer Service teams.
- Develop and implement local market strategies and annual business plans aligned with global product marketing priorities.
- Monitor market trends, analyse competitive insights, and recommend strategic actions to support long- and mid-term business growth.
- Manage sales performance across key channels including OEMs, contractors, consultants, and industrial distributors, supporting joint activities with the LSO.
- Drive training and knowledge sharing through customer CPD sessions and ensuring strong technical and sales capability across stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting and communication to the local management team.
Qualifications for the Role
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the industry or targeted market segments alongside proven people development experience.
- Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
- Ability to deliver technical and product presentations to potential clients.
- Possess knowledge of the marketplace and customers along with knowledge of electrical standards, product application and competitor’s offerings, with Surge Protection experience being advantageous.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong IT proficiency (CRM Systems, Microsoft Office).
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
