This position reports to: Maintenance Specialist - Team Leader.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.

Candidate will be working Monday to Thursday (8am-4:45pm) and Friday (6am-12:30pm). This will be standard shift pattern however successful candidate will be open to shift rotation when required by the business.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on various types of machines / equipment (e.g., bearings, conveyors, pneumatics).
  • Support Electrical maintenance engineer with Sensors, motors control panels etc.
  • Maintain tool and carry out repairs to equipment to ensure safe working order.
  • Manages and updates technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.
  • Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
  • Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Time-served or formally qualified in Mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Experience with tool setting and machine tool setup, with strong familiarity across workshop machinery such as lathes, milling machines, drills, and grinders.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance practices using CMMS systems, including the ability to analyse data to drive continuous improvement and optimise performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret both mechanical to support manufacturing processes and equipment enhancements.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels across the business.
